Construction works began with diaphragm walls, which will soon become the walls of the underground car park. Their construction consumed about 4,800 m3 of concrete and 256 tons of steel. Currently there are curried out works involving the excavation, which area and depth are increasing every day.
Only in September about 3 500 tons of soil and debris were removed from the construction site. Ultimately, the excavation is planned to reach 4 610 sqm surface and 10 m depth. In upcoming weeks, the concreting of the garage roof will begin. So far, several dozen people work at the construction site of the SKYSAWA project, but along with work progress, the number will increase and at its peak it will reach up to 500 employees.
– SKYSAWA is one of the largest under construction office and commercial complex in Warsaw – it will deliver about 40,000 sqm space to the market. This is also one of the first investments that will have a direct connection to the subway. Its central location, adjacent to Rondo ONZ, just a 5-minute walk from the Central Station, means that the investment will certainly become one of the key points of the capital – says Tomasz Górnicki, Vice President of the Management Board for Investment of Polski Holding Nieruchomości.
– Conducting construction in the very center of the capital is a real challenge, not only because of logistics but also technical aspects. Dense development of surrounding of the construction site is an undoubted obstacle, however, thanks to the precise planning of works, they can be carried out continuously without interruption. Thanks to the good organization and experience of the PORR team, construction of the SKYSAWA investment is going according to plan – says Dariusz Wietrzyński, a member of the board of PORR S.A.
SKYSAWA is BREEAM Interim certified at the highest possible level – Outstanding. Colliers International, a consulting company, is responsible for the commercialization of the investment.
